Letter from Fox Television Productions

At Vegas Electric we really love to apply our knowledge and skill to a new challenge. So imagine our excitement when the FOX Network (Fox Island Productions, a unit of Fox Filmed Entertainment and Fox Television) chose to shoot Temptation Island (European Episodes) on Roatan and asked us to provide their electrical and communication needs during the shoot.

From June to October of 2001, Vegas Electric provided a whole host of services to network international crews and staff. We were in charge of basic power circuits, lighting, and wiring at on-location and remote shooting areas. We developed the radio repeater system that joined three base units with numerous mobile stations for shuttle buses, crew, and staff vehicles. We provided temporary rental central telephone communication systems with eight dedicated lines and a fax, and sixteen extensions for production office facilities which were then used by the various international filming crews throughout the shoot. We protected the computer and telephone systems with an isolated grounding uninterruptable power system. We also did extensive underground distribution wiring at Palmetto Bay, one of the two main filming locations.

Livia Hanich wrote: " Dear Vegas, It has been our extreme pleasure having the opportunity to work with you and your company during our shoot here in Roatan for Temptation Island International. The services provided by you and your team were of the highest level. All the work was completed within the time frame estimated and within the quote as provided by your company. Thank you, as this assisted our production to maintain its schedule and budget. Should FOX return to Roatan for a second season, we would have no hesitation in working with you again. In the event that FOX decides to shoot any other production in Roatan, we will strongly recommend to that division or production, your company's services. Again, thank you for all that you contributed in the successful completion of Temptation Island International's first season (on Roatan)."
