Charles
(Vegas) George, President and CEOCharles
George, master electrician, founded Vegas Electric in 1987 with the goal
of establishing a full service electrical contracting firm that would
meet international quality and safety standards and would make an enduring
social and economic contribution for the Roatan island people he had come
to love. Guided by a personal membership in the International Association
of Electrical Inspectors and his nearly 20 years of experience in the
industry, Vegas has successfully completed countless projectsall
the while being innovative and keeping abreast of new technologies. Beyond
the boundaries of the business day, Vegas promotes scholarships for bilingual
education, in-house vocational training for the electrical industry, and
recently was a member of the first emergency relief team to fly into Guanaja
after Hurricane "Mitch," providing damage assessment and supervising a
crew from his own company to restore temporary lighting and electrical
service to the island. His combination of professional experience and
community commitment ensures that every project receives the highest level
of attention and quality.
