Overhead & Underground Sample Project

Like many of our clients, Anthony's Key Resort uses our reliable and soundly valued services over and over for a wide range of projects. This world-class dive resort and dolphin encounter program has been using Vegas Electric for its electrical needs since 1987.

Following the devastation of Hurricane Mitch in 1998, Anthony's Key Resort embarked on a long-range plan formulated by Vegas Electric to upgrade all of its electrical and communication systems. We began by designing a 15kv underground distribution system for the entire resort. The initial phase of the project was "undersea" as well as underground, since the distribution was also designed to span underwater across the channel to the key (little island) to provide power to the cabins and other facilities there. We also carried out the next phase of the high voltage distribution system providing a 3-phase feeder and pad mount transformer to serve the new and expanded kitchen (equipment and facilities), restaurant, warehouse area, and administrative buildings. Anthony's Key Resort uses our ISSI satellite phone equipment and services as part of the communication upgrade we have designed for them.
